The videos in this episode are sorted from smallest to largest supercluster :
The Virgo Supercluster is a vast collection of galaxy clusters, including the Virgo Cluster itself, as well as many other galaxy groups and clusters. It is one of the largest structures in the observable universe, encompassing a vast number of galaxies and spanning a tremendous volume of space. The Local Group, which includes our Milky Way galaxy, is part of the Virgo Supercluster. The Virgo Supercluster itself is just one component of an even larger cosmic structure known as the Laniakea Supercluster, which was identified in a study published in 2014. The Laniakea Supercluster is a complex web of galaxy flows and gravitational interactions on an enormous scale. Studying these superclusters and their large-scale structures helps astronomers understand the overall organization and evolution of the universe on its largest scales. It also provides insights into the gravitational forces that shape the distribution of galaxies and other cosmic structures.
